Benchmark domestic equity indices witnessed strong gains in the afternoon session today following the announcement of a peace deal between the United States and Iran. The Sensex climbed 922 points to 76 thousand 450, while the Nifty rose 287 points to 23 thousand 910, when reports last came in. Easing geopolitical concerns lifted investor confidence, triggering broad-based buying across the markets, with most sectoral indices trading in the green. However, the Pharma and Healthcare sectors bucked the trend and remained under pressure.
