The 151st birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, fondly remembered as the Iron Man of India, was commemorated at the Indian High Commission in Dhaka today as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day).
On the occasion, Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi paid floral tributes to the portrait of Sardar Patel and administered the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge to officials of the High Commission.
Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is observed across India every year on October 31 to commemorate his birth anniversary and reaffirm the commitment to preserving and strengthening the country’s unity, integrity and security.
