In a special conversation with Akashvani News, India’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Smita Pant, said that the relations between the two countries are strengthening rapidly, and during the Prime Minister’s visit, there will be a discussion on increasing cooperation in all areas. She said that business between the two countries has increased manifold in the last few years, and during the Prime Minister’s visit, both countries will discuss improving connectivity and reducing bottlenecks.
There is considerable discussion about important decisions on cooperation in rare earth minerals during the Prime Minister’s visit. Smita Pant said that Uzbekistan is rich in natural resources, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Tashkent will also discuss investment and technology transfer in the mining and rare earth minerals sectors. The ambassador said Bollywood plays a vital role in strengthening relations between Uzbekistan and India, and Uzbekistanis are passionate about Indian films, serials, and film stars. Smita Pant stated that the two countries may take some important decisions to enhance cultural contacts during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit.
