In Jammu and Kashmir, the Ramban District Administration has launched a series of Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programs to boost public participation in the upcoming General Election to the Legislative Assembly. Our Jammu correspondent reports that these initiatives aim to increase voter awareness, particularly among the youth. A key SVEEP event was held at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Neel, attracting a significant number of students and local residents. This event highlighted the importance of voting in the legislative assembly elections, with a focus on first-time and female voters.
Another similar event took place at Upper Primary School (UPS) Harwari Neel, which concentrated on educating both the public and students about the vital role of each vote in shaping regional governance.
A major SVEEP program was also conducted at Government High School Perhindar, drawing a large audience of students and community members. This event provided comprehensive information on the electoral process, voter rights, and the importance of active participation in the upcoming elections.
