In the by-elections held on 7 assembly seats in Rajasthan, the ruling BJP has won 5 seats while Congress succeeded on a single seat. BJP candidates won in Jhunjhunu, Ramgarh, Deoli-Uniyara, Khinvsar and Salumbhar seats, while Congress could manage to grab only Dausa Seat. At Chaurasi seat of tribal area, Bharat Adivasi Party candidate registered victory. The biggest margin of victory among all the seven seats was in Jhunjhunu where BJP candidate Rajendra Bhambhu defeated the nearest candidate Amit Ola of Congress by 42 thousand 848 votes.
