Punjab Police recover large quantity of illegal arms and ammunition in anti-gangster crackdown

Punjab Police has recovered a large quantity of illegal arms and ammunition during its ongoing anti-gangster crackdown. According to Director General of Punjab Police Gaurav Yadav, since the launch of Operation ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’ in January this year, the Anti-Gangster Task Force has recovered 713 illegal weapons, 218 magazines and more than 2,000 rounds of ammunition across the state. Most of the recoveries have been made from the border districts of Amritsar, Tarn Taran and Ferozepur. Mr Yadav said no one can escape the law. He said public support is essential for maintaining peace and creating a safe society.
