In Punjab, house-to-house enumeration under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 will commence across the state from 25th June to 24th July. Senior Deputy Election Commissioner of the Election Commission Bhanu Prakash Yeturu chaired a review meeting with State Chief Election Officer Anindita Mitra and district election officers. Ms Mitra briefed him on the state’s electoral framework comprising 5 divisions, 23 districts, and 117 constituencies. A total of 24,453 polling stations across 14,664 locations exist in Punjab.
