In Punjab, the Department of Prisons has allowed jail inmates to celebrate Raksha Bandhan, a festival of love and respect between brothers and sisters. The department has made arrangements in all the jails in the state and allowed sisters and brothers of prisoners to tie Rakhi to their siblings. At the same time, security concerns have also been taken care of while giving easy access to family members to celebrate the festival.
