In Punjab, Phase-II of Population Enumeration will be conducted from 1st December 2026 to 4th January 2027. Revision Round will happen from 5th to 9th January 2027. To orient the state nodal officers and review preparations, a meeting of State Nodal Officers of Special Charges was held today. It focused on ensuring secure, accurate and time-bound enumeration of such area where access to civilian enumerators is restricted. The meeting emphasised for close coordination between the concerned officers for timely training and fieldwork, so that enumeration in such restricted areas is completed accurately and within the prescribed timelines.

 

In Chandigarh, Self-Enumeration will be conducted from January 10 to 24, 2027, followed by Population Enumeration from January 25 to February 28, 2027. A Revisional Round will subsequently be conducted from March 1 to 5, 2027.
