Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali and the Prosperity Party on their decisive victory in the Ethiopian parliamentary elections. In a social media post, Mr. Modi said India greatly cherishes its historic, multifaceted and deep-rooted ties with Ethiopia. The Prime Minister recalled his visit to Ethiopia last year and expressed his enthusiasm to work closely with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali to further strengthen the Strategic Partnership between the two nations.

 

Mr. Modi also reaffirmed his commitment to deepening the bonds of friendship between the people of India and Ethiopia.
