President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the loss of lives in a road accident occured in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh. In a social media post, the President extended her condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones in the accident. President Murmu also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. Prime Minister Modi announced ex gratia of 2 lakh rupees from Prime Minister National Relief Fund to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given 50,000 rupees.
