President Droupadi Murmu will arrive in Vijayawada today on a two-day visit to Andhra Pradesh. She will offer prayers at the Sri Kanaka Durga Temple this evening. Tomorrow, the President will inaugurate the National Saras Mela 2026 in Vijayawada. The mela is being organised by the Union Ministry of Rural Development in association with the Andhra Pradesh government. More than 1,500 women from Self-Help Groups across over 30 States and Union Territories are taking part in the mela, displaying rural products, traditional handicrafts and regional food items.
