President Murmu, PM Modi express grief over Ahmedabad firecracker factory explosion accident

President Droupadi Murmu today expressed grief over the loss of lives in the explosion accident at a firecracker factory in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. In a social media post the president prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. 
 
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also extended condolences over the loss of lives in the incident. In a social media post, Mr Modi said that the local administration is providing all possible assistance to those affected.
 
He announced that an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund would be given to the next of kin of each deceased, and the injured would be given Rs 50,000. The Prime Minister added that his thoughts are with the bereaved families in this hour of grief and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
 
Home Minister Amit Shah said that every possible medical facility is being provided to the injured. The Home Minister also prayed for the swift recovery of those injured in the incident.
