President Droupadi Murmu has greeted people on the eve of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi. In her message, the President said that the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi is an occasion to recall the preachings of Prophet Muhammad. President Murmu said that Prophet’s teachings inspire citizens to follow the path of pious conduct and dutifulness. She said that the noble ideals of Prophet Muhammad inspire countrymen to contribute actively towards building an inclusive and developed country.

The President has also extended greetings to people on the eve of Onam. In her message, the President said that Onam is an occasion to express gratitude to nature on arrival of the new harvest. President Murmu said that Onam celebrates the rich culture and spirit of brotherhood and promotes unity in diversity. The President said, boat races, folk dances, music and sports are important traditions associated with this festival that showcase the culture and values of Keralam.
