President  Murmu concludes State Visit to Romania departs for New Delhi

President Droupadi Murmu has concluded her State Visit to Romania and departed for New Delhi this afternoon.
 
During the visit, the President held wide-ranging talks with her Romanian counterpart, President Nicușor Dan, to strengthen bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, defence, digital technology, education, renewable energy, and culture.
 
President Murmu also met Romania’s Prime Minister and parliamentary leaders, addressed the India-Romania Business Forum, and interacted with members of the Indian community. She paid tribute at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and was conferred an Honorary Doctorate by the Bucharest University of Economic Studies in recognition of her contributions to public service and India-Romania relations.
 
The visit marked an important step towards further deepening the longstanding friendship and strategic partnership between India and Romania. Romania was the final leg of President Murmu’s three-nation State Visit, which also included Moldova and North Macedonia.
