President Droupadi Murmu has said that country’s engagement with the world should always align with the interests of the country Rashtrahit Sarvopari. Officer Trainees of Indian Foreign Service called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan today. The President urged the young diplomats to ensure that Indian Missions always remain accessible and available for the nationals in times of need. The President said that these officers represent not only the government, but hopes and aspirations of 140 crore countrymen.
Congratulating the officer trainees, President Murmu said that said that they will have the privilege and responsibility of representing India abroad, advancing the nation’s interests, and strengthening India’s relations with countries across the world. The President underlined that Country’s economic rise is creating new possibilities for engagement with the world. She advised the diplomats to remain alert to emerging opportunities in areas such as investment, technology, manufacturing, renewable energy and innovation, and build partnerships that advance India’s national interests. President Murmu added that that diplomacy must contribute directly to India’s prosperity. The President further said that Indian Foreign Service officers not only represent a country whose civilization journey spans thousands of years, but they also represent a young, dynamic and aspirational India.
