President Droupadi Murmu will embark on 5-day visit to Madhya Pradesh & Odisha from June 18

President Droupadi Murmu will embark on a five-day visit to Madhya Pradesh and Odisha beginning tomorrow. The President’s Secretariat said that on the first day of her visit, President Murmu will attend a programme on the empowerment of tribal society through spiritual awakening at Betul in Madhya Pradesh.
 
On Friday, she will participate in the International Sickle Cell Day celebrations at Omkareshwar in Madhya Pradesh. Later the same day, the President will inaugurate a medical camp organised by AIIMS Bhubaneswar and dedicate a mega integrated rural piped water supply project for mining-affected villages under Kusumi block at Rairangpur in Odisha.
 
On Saturday, President Murmu, along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will visit various facilities at Pahadpur, including School and Skill Centre at Pahadpur and interact with beneficiaries and children. Later, they will grace a public programme at Rairangpur. On 21st of this month, the President will participate in the International Day of Yoga celebrations at Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. Later in the day, she will preside over the 36th Convocation Ceremony of Rani Durgavati University.
 
While on the final day of her visit, President Murmu will interact with members of the Sahariya tribe, cheetah trackers, tourist guides and the Kuno field team at Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh.
