New and Renewable Energy Minister Pralhad Joshi today inaugurated the new building of the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) in New Delhi.
Addressing the event, Mr. Joshi called upon SECI to become one of the world’s most recognised organisations in the renewable energy sector and set global benchmarks.
He expressed hope that the new chapter would bring peace and prosperity while further strengthening SECI’s contribution to India’s renewable energy sector and the global community.
The Minister said SECI has signed Power Sale Agreements with distribution companies (DISCOMs) for over 71 gigawatts of renewable energy. He added that SECI would continue to play a key role in advancing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Viksit Bharat powered by clean and sustainable energy.
