The Prime Ministers Museum and Library (PMML) organised an exhibition dedicated to the life and legacy of former Prime Minister P. V. Narasimha Rao on the occasion of his 105th birth anniversary. The exhibition was inaugurated by PMML Chairman, Executive Council, Nripendra Misra, and opened to visitors at the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya.

The exhibition showcased rare photographs, official documents, speeches, correspondence and archival material tracing P. V. Narasimha Rao’s remarkable journey in public life. It highlighted his leadership during a crucial phase in India’s history, particularly his role in introducing the landmark economic reforms of Liberalisation, Privatisation and Globalisation, which transformed the country’s economic landscape.

P. V. Narasimha Rao served the nation in several key capacities over the decades, including as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and as Union Minister for External Affairs, Home Affairs and Defence. He served as the Prime Minister of India from 21 June 1991 to 16 May 1996 and was posthumously conferred the Bharat Ratna in 2024 in recognition of his exceptional service to the nation.

The exhibition also portrayed the former Prime Minister’s multifaceted personality as a scholar, freedom fighter, reformer and visionary statesman, reflecting on his enduring contribution to nation-building. A special photo exhibition highlighting his life, political journey and lasting contributions to the country was also inaugurated as part of the commemorative event.
