Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Jitendra Singh today said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi completing 25 years in constitutional office, including a continuous tenure as the head of government, is a record in a democratic system.
Addressing the two-day Namo Book Fest organised at the Rudraksh International Convention Centre in Varanasi to mark the occasion, Dr Jitendra Singh said that over the past 12 to 13 years, there has been considerable interest across the world in Prime Minister Modi’s multifaceted personality.
He said several articles and books have been written on various aspects of Mr Modi’s personality, life, leadership, governance model and policies. It was with this idea that the Namo Book Fest was conceived in Kashi to mark 25 years of the Prime Minister’s public life.
Dr Jitendra Singh said that the choice of Kashi for the event was also significant. Varanasi is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency and is among the world’s oldest cities.
More than 500 books related to Prime Minister Modi’s life, personality, leadership and policies have been displayed at the Namo Book Fest on a single platform.
