Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned that the strength of the armed forces is increased in proportion to the economic muscle of the nation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi witnessed a remarkable display of India’s defence prowess of Bharat Shakti at Pokhran, Rajasthan, yesterday.

Addressing the occasion, the Prime Minister said that the valour and skills are the call of the new India. The Prime Minister said that Pokhran is India’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharata, self-confidence and its glory.’

Speaking about the test firing of the long-range AGNI missile, the Prime Minister affirmed that testing is another feather in the cap for Atmanirbhara Bharata in defence.

The Prime Minister also mentioned that India lays emphasis on Atmanirbhara Bharata from edible oils to fighter jets, helicopters and missile systems. The Prime Minister stressed reducing dependence on imports and fostering indigenous production are marking a transformative shift to self-reliance.

Prime Minister stated that a developed Rajasthan will strengthen Atmanirbhara Bharata as well as the government’s commitment to their welfare.
