Prime Minister Narendra Modi has thanked world leaders for their warm wishes as he completes 25 years as head of government. Responding to messages from leaders of Nigeria, Dominica, Belgium, the Philippines, Bhutan and Botswana, Prime Minister Modi expressed his commitment to further strengthening India’s partnerships with these countries.
Thanking Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Mr Modi said India and Nigeria are close partners and leading voices of the Global South. He expressed readiness to deepen the Strategic Partnership and work towards a more inclusive, prosperous and peaceful world. He also thanked the leaders of Dominica and Belgium, saying India looks forward to further strengthening bilateral ties.
Responding to Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Junior, the Prime Minister said India deeply values its Strategic Partnership with the Philippines and looks forward to deepening friendship between the two nations.
Thanking Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, Mr Modi highlighted the enduring partnership between India and Bhutan, rooted in mutual trust and understanding. He also appreciated Botswana President Duma Boko’s greetings and said India greatly values its friendship with Botswana.
