Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said, unprecedented work has been done in the last 12 years towards the welfare and empowerment of farmers in the country. Mr Modi said this while sharing an article written by Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

In a social media post, Mr Modi said, the government’s schemes for the farmers have brought significant positive changes in their lives. The Prime Minister added that Mr. Chouhan has elaborated on the transformative journey of India’s agriculture sector in detail in his article.

In the article Mr Chouhan emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, agriculture has become an integrated foundation for farmers’ prosperity, risk protection, nutritional security, green technology, and rural development.
