Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed public rallies in Jamnagar and Junagadh in Gujarat today. Addressing a rally in Junagadh, he said the BJP government has given a befitting reply to terrorism ensuring peace across the country. Mr Modi also accused the Congress of engaging in divisive politics and criticized their decision to cede an island near Tamil Nadu to a neighbouring country, decades after independence.
At a public rally in Jamnagar, the PM talked about several development works including Sudarshan Bridge, and Jamagar Amritsar Expressway which BJP government launched in the constituency.
Meanwhile, Congress leader and Rajasthan’s former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot addressed a press conference in Ahmedabad and assured that Congress Manifesto guarantees justice to every section of the society. Mr Gehlot expressed concerns over the security of democracy in the country and criticised BJP for misleading people and neglecting major issues like inflation and unemployment.
AAP leader Sunita Kejriwal held road shows in Botad and Dediyapada in favour of AAP candidates of Bhavnagar and Bharuch.
