PM Modi praises inclusion of Karnataka’s Sacred Ensembles of Hoysalas in UNESCO World Heritage List

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the inclusion of Karnataka’s Sacred Ensembles of the Hoysalas in the UNESCO World Heritage List. In a social media post, PM Modi said that it is a matter of great pride for India. Hailing the achievement, he further added that the timeless beauty and intricate details of the Hoysala temples are a testament to India's rich cultural heritage and the exceptional craftsmanship of our ancestors.

The Hoysala temples located in Belur, Halebidu, and Somanathapur in Karnataka have become the 42nd UNESCO World Heritage Site in India. The Hoysala temples were built during 12th to 13th centuries, they are known for their magnificent architecture and show the sculptural as well as artistic achievement of these temple complexes.
