Prime Minister Narendra Modi has remembered Sri Aurobindo on his birth anniversary today. In a social media post, Mr Modi called Sri Aurobindo a towering philosopher, nationalist, poet and thinker who dedicated his life to India’s freedom as well as to the larger quest for human progress.

The Prime Minister added that his works on various subjects continue to inspire generations across the world. Further, Mr Modi underlined that Sri Aurobindo’s faith in the destiny of India and in the limitless possibilities of human transformation remains deeply relevant.
