Prime Minister Narendra Modi has paid tributes to the National Poet Ramdhari Singh Dinkar on his birth anniversary today. In a social media post, the Prime Minister said that Mr Dinkar’s fiery poems, brimming with the sentiments of public awakening and national pride, continue to infuse valour, vigour and self-respect into the hearts of the countrymen even today.

Mr Modi added that his works not only enrich literature but also inspire devotion to the motherland. The Prime Minister said that Mr Dinkar’s towering personality and timeless creations will guide generations of Indians for ages to come. 

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also paid tributes to the National Poet Ramdhari Singh Dinkar. In a social media post, the Lok Sabha Speaker said, in the firmament of Hindi literature, Mr Dinkar’s place is not merely as a great poet but as a litterateur whose pen gave voice to the nation’s consciousness, public sentiments, and social concerns.

Mr Birla said that Dinkar’s timeless works, including Rashmirathi, Kurukshetra, Urvashi, Renuka and Four Chapters of Indian Culture have enriched Hindi literature and offered a fresh perspective on Indian society and national thought. He added that Mr Dinkar’s immortal literary legacy will continue to inspire Indian literature and national reflection.
