Prime Minister Narendra Modi today spoke to German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. In a social media post, the Prime Minister said that as India and Germany celebrate 75 years of their diplomatic relations, both the countries reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen Strategic Partnership across trade and investment, defence, clean energy, advanced technologies, talent mobility and other key areas. Mr Modi said that Germany is an important pillar of India’s engagement with Europe and a valued partner for promoting global peace, stability and prosperity. He said, India and Germany will continue to deepen forward-looking Strategic Partnership for the benefit of the people of both the countries.
