Prime Minister Narendra Modi today hailed the efforts of doctors and medical professionals who are working in Venezuela as part of Operation Amistad. In a social media post, he said that in such a challenging time, their efforts to serve those in need are shining examples of how medical professionals rise to the occasion every time society faces a challenge.

 

India launched Operation Amistad in response to devastating earthquakes in Venezuela that caused extensive loss of life, injuries and widespread destruction. Operation Amistad is a Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief mission in a gesture of solidarity with the people of Venezuela.
