President Droupadi Murmu has congratulated the Indian Men’s Badminton Team on winning Bronze Medal at the Asian Games 2026. In a social media post, the President said, this commendable achievement reflects the team’s determination, resilience and fighting spirit. President Murmu added that each member made a valuable contribution to this proud success.

 

Vice President C P Radhakrishnan also congratulated Roshibina Devi Naorem on securing the Silver Medal in the Women’s 60kg Sanda event at the Asian Games 2026. He also congratulated Satnam Singh and Salman Khan on winning the Bronze Medal in the Men’s Double Sculls event in the Games.

 

In a social media post, Mr Radhakrishnan said that Roshibina’s 3rd consecutive Asian Games medal marks a historic milestone for Indian Wushu. He also noted that Satnam and Salman’s podium finish reflects exceptional teamwork and endurance. The Vice President said that they may continue to bring many more moments of pride to the nation.

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated Naorem Roshibina Devi on winning the Silver Medal in the Women’s Sanda 60kg event at the Asian Games. In a social media post, Mr Modi said that winning medals at three consecutive Asian Games is a remarkable achievement. He said that Naorem Roshibina’s consistency, courage and determination are truly commendable. 

 

Mr Modi congratulated Satnam Singh and Salman Khan on winning the bronze medal in the Men’s Double Sculls at the Asian Games. In a social media post, he said that the performance by both athletes has earned India a well-deserved medal. Prime Minister Modi said that their composure and coordination stood out. He stated that this accomplishment will serve as motivation for them to attain even greater heights in the year ahead.
