Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, this evening for his two-day visit to the Central Asian country. The Prime Minister was welcomed by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Both leaders will hold discussions on the entire gamut of issues of bilateral importance.

The entire city of Tashkent is adorned with Indian flags and hoardings as the country eagerly awaited Prime Minister Modi’s fourth visit. Tomorrow, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will reflect on the entire spectrum of bilateral relations, which are based on civilisational ties built over centuries and strengthened by strong people-to-people ties.

The two leaders will review cooperation in trade and investment, defence, digital connectivity, energy, education and people-to-people ties at the Presidential Palace.
