PM Modi and Union Ministers remember former Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan on his birth anniversary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today paid tribute to former Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan on his birth anniversary today. In a social media post, Mr Modi said that Ram Vilas Paswan made significant contributions to the upliftment of society’s deprived and weaker sections. The Prime Minister said that Ram Vilas Paswan will always be remembered for his dedication to public and national service.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that Ram Vilas Paswan’s entire life was dedicated to the welfare of the poor. He said that during the Emergency, Ram Vilas Paswan waged a long struggle to protect democratic values and civil rights. The Minister said that Ram Vilas Paswan’s contributions to democracy and nation-building will forever remain a source of inspiration.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that Ram Vilas Paswan dedicated his entire public life to social justice, democratic values, and the struggle for the rights of the Scheduled Castes, backward classes, and other deprived sections of society. He noted that Ram Vilas Paswan always placed human sensitivity above all else and made continuous efforts to ensure that the policymaking process remained inclusive so that even the person standing in the last row of society received justice, opportunities, and dignity.
