Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief at the passing of Former Bihar Governor DY Patil today. In a social media post, the Prime Minister said that DY Patil was at the forefront of serving society through philanthropy and education in particular. Mr Modi said that the former Governor always worked to improve the lives of others, especially the poor. He further said that his thoughts are with family and admirers of DY Patil in this hour.
Union Home Minister, Amit Shah has also offered his condolences to the aggrieved family at this distressed hour and wished them strength.
