The Government has refuted claims circulating on social media on granting a loan amount worth 10 Lakh rupees under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana on payment of a processing fee of six thousand 550 rupees. The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) has informed that the letter is fake. The Unit added that MUDRA is a refinancing agency and does not provide direct loans to individuals or micro-entrepreneurs. It has also urged people to verify such information from official sources only.
