The Patna High Court has set up Fast Track Courts in Patna, Lakhisarai and Purnea for the speedy trial of cases related to question paper leaks and other irregularities in competitive examinations, including NEET. Judges have also been appointed for these courts. Gaurav Singh has been posted in Patna, Seema Bhartiya in Lakhisarai and Thakur Aman Kumar in Purnea as Presiding Officers.

 

According to the High Court administration, these courts will hear cases registered under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Act, 2024. The courts will conduct day-to-day hearings after the filing of charge sheets, with the aim of completing trials and delivering judgments within three months. The High Court has sent a proposal to the State Government for formal notification of these courts.
