Vice President CP Radhakrishnan has said that the freedom enjoyed by the country today has come through the great sacrifices of earlier generations.
Addressing an event on Partition Horrors Remembrance Day in New Delhi today, Mr Radhakrishnan said that every citizen has a prime duty to maintain and preserve the integrity of the nation and value the freedom achieved through those sacrifices. He said that the horrors witnessed during Partition should never happen again in the motherland.
The Vice President noted that no caste, religion or region is more important than the nation.
