In the evening session of Athletics at the Paris Paralympics, Bhavanaben Ajabaji Chaudhary will compete in the Women’s Javelin Throw F46 Final, scheduled to start at 10:30 PM IST. In the final medal event of the day for India, Soman Rana and Hokato Hotozhe Sema will aim for a podium finish in the Men’s Shot Put F57 Final, which begins at 10:34 PM IST.
Meanwhile, after a heartbreaking fourth-place finish in the Women’s 100m T12 final, Simran has qualified for the semi-finals of the Women’s 200m T12 event. She will be in action at 11:12 PM IST.
Indian para-runner Dilip Gavit also made headlines, qualifying for the final of the Men’s 400m T47 event after finishing third in Round 1, Heat 1, clocking a season-best time of 49.54 seconds.
In Canoeing, Yash Kumar advanced to the semi-finals after finishing sixth in the Men’s Kayak Single 200m KL1 Heat 1. Additionally, Prachi Yadav and Pooja Ojha both qualified for the semi-finals after placing fourth and fifth in their respective heats in the Women’s Va’a Single 200m VL2 and Women’s Kayak Single 200m KL1.
Earlier in the day, Dipesh Kumar missed out on a medal in the Men’s Javelin Throw F54 final. With only a few days left until the conclusion of the Paralympic Games, India will be eyeing a grand finish in Paris.
