The Ministry of Panchayati Raj will organise a National Workshop on the People’s Plan Campaign in New Delhi today. The workshop will be inaugurated by Panchayati Raj Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh. It will be attended by senior officials, including Panchayati Raj Secretary Dr. Vineet Joshi and Drinking Water and Sanitation Secretary Ashok K. K. Meena.

 

The workshop will review key achievements and discuss the role of thematic Panchayat Development Plans in preparing development plans for the financial year 2027-28. Around 400 participants from States and Union Territories are expected to attend the workshop. Technical sessions will focus on improving the quality of Gram Panchayat Development Plans, grants under the 16th Finance Commission, own-source revenue and the Samarth Panchayat Portal. The Ministry said a booklet on the People’s Plan Campaign will also be released during the workshop.
