In Women’s Cricket, India defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets in a Group A match of the Twenty20 Women’s Asia Cup at Dubai International Stadium in UAE tonight. Pakistan had set a target of 56 runs for India. India achieved the target comfortably, scoring 57 for 3 wickets in 8.7 overs. 

 

Left-arm spinner Shree Charani was the star performer, returning brilliant figures of 3 for 7, with able support from young leg-spinner Prema Rawat, as India dismantled Pakistan for a paltry 55 in 18.1 overs without breaking much sweat in an inconsequential Group A league game of the Women’s Asia Cup. This was Pakistan’s lowest score in history of T20 Internationals.
