In Pakistan, seven people, including two children, were killed and 33 injured in rain-related incidents across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province over the past 24 hours.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) said that heavy rains, strong winds and lightning caused roof and wall collapses, which killed four men, two children, and one woman in Bannu, Shangla and Mansehra districts.
The PDMA also warned of the risk of Glacial Lake Outburst Floods (GLOFs) in the upper regions of the province, as rising temperatures and ongoing rainfall has accelerated glacier melting and increase the threat of flash flooding.
