Over 1.06 Lakh Participants Engaged in Anti-Drug Awareness Under Sankalp Abhiyan

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has said that under the ongoing 100-week Sankalp Abhiyan, initiatives like MY BHARAT and the National Service Scheme mentored more than 1.06 Lakh participants against substance abuse from across 200 designated institutions and adopted villages.
 
 
The Ministry highlighted that moving ahead from conventional pledge taking activities, the Yuva Samwad Mela emphasised interactive dialogue, public awareness and cultural expression to encourage informed conversations on the harmful effects of substance abuse.
 
 
The Ministry, which concluded the first Month of Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyan, underscored that the nationwide initiative includes three major components, including youth dialogue, awareness stalls and cultural performances. It also noted that with the completion of its first month, the second month will focus on physical fitness and sports under the theme ‘Fit Youth, Addiction-Free Youth’.
