Odisha is witnessing another spell of widespread rain, with a fresh low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal triggering heavy to very heavy rainfall in several parts of the state. The IMD has issued an Orange Warning for four districts, while the remaining districts are under Yellow Warning amid the possibility of further rainfall. The rising Baitarani and Salandi have added to the anxiety of people in Bhadrak, where residents are worried about renewed waterlogging, disruption of communication and damage to standing crops.

Akashvani Correspondent reports that Four districts, Sundergarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda and Bargarh, are under Orange Warning, while the rest of the state remains under Yellow Warning. Many families after the recent floods, are still struggling to restore normal life, with damaged roads and communication links, waterlogging and crop losses adding to their difficulties. The possibility of another rise in river levels has heightened anxiety among villagers, particularly those who had recently returned home after evacuation. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and maintaining preparedness in vulnerable areas.
