Odisha BJP government completes two years in office; CM highlights achievements of the government

The first BJP government in Odisha, led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, today completed two years in office.

Addressing a press conference in Bhubaneswar on the occasion, CM Majhi said the office of the Chief Minister is a sacred opportunity to serve the people. Highlighting the government’s achievements, he said 121 schemes have been implemented during the past two years.

Under the Subhadra Scheme, more than ₹20,588 crore has been transferred directly to over one crore women beneficiaries. The Ayushman Bharat–Gopabandhu Jana Arogya Yojana has extended health coverage to 3.46 crore people in Odisha.

The government has also focused on strengthening education infrastructure, promoting industrial investment, and intensifying anti-Naxal operations. The Chief Minister announced that the government aims to provide pucca houses to 37 lakh beneficiaries.

He also announced free education from kindergarten to post-graduation for students from economically weaker sections.

The main event of the two-year anniversary celebration is scheduled to be held at Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj district, with President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi expected to attend on 20th of this month.
