The National Testing Agency (NTA) has changed a NEET (UG) 2026 candidate’s examination centre from Abu Dhabi to Nagpur after receiving a request just 48 hours before the exam. Issuing a clarification regarding a candidate who was allotted an examination centre in Abu Dhabi instead of Nagpur for the NEET (UG) 2026 re-examination, the agency reiterated that its priority is to ensure no student misses the examination due to administrative concerns.
According to NTA, the Abu Dhabi centre was selected once and viewed twice by the candidate through the portal before the exam city was finalised. Despite this, the agency accepted the informal request and immediately began the process and contacted the candidate’s father to help complete the required formalities. The testing agency further informed us that around 3.2 lakh candidates used the correction facility, and more than 99.5 per cent of them were successfully allotted their preferred examination city.
