National Security Adviser Ajit Doval held talks with Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister, General Phan Van Giang, in Hanoi, reviewing bilateral defence cooperation and agreeing to strengthen engagement in the sector.
The Embassy of India in Vietnam said in a social media post that the two leaders discussed ongoing defence cooperation and ways to deepen ties.
Mr Doval arrived in Hanoi yesterday for an official visit during which he is scheduled to meet Vietnamese leaders to review the Enhanced Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries. The visit follows the elevation of bilateral ties during Vietnamese President To Lam’s visit to India in May 2026.
