Vice Chairperson of NITI Aayog Dr Ashok Kumar Lahiri today said that globalising Ayurveda is essential not only for promoting India’s traditional knowledge but also for creating jobs, boosting exports and strengthening the country’s soft power. While releasing a report on Strategic Roadmap for Making Ayurveda Global in New Delhi, NITI Aayog Vice Chairperson, Mr Lahiri stressed that scientific validation and evidence-based research are crucial for enhancing the global credibility of Ayurveda. Emphasising that future generations will seek scientific proof rather than rely solely on tradition, he called for rigorous testing and research. He said the initiative would help position Ayurveda as a trusted healthcare system worldwide and reaffirm India’s civilisational heritage.
