In Madhya Pradesh, nine people trapped in the strong current of the Gaderi River in Sagar district were safely rescued by a joint team of police, SDRF and Home Guards.
On August 22, heavy rain caused the river’s water level to rise in the Abchand Caves area. After receiving the information, the rescue team walked nearly four kilometres through dense forest and difficult terrain to reach the spot. SDRF personnel then entered the river despite the strong current and safely rescued all nine people. After the rescue, all of them underwent a health check-up and were found safe before being handed over to their families.
