The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issued notices to the Karnataka Chief Secretary and Director General of Police over the reported incidents of toddlers being treated inhumanely by the nannies at a creche in an IT company in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Taking suo motu cognisance of a media report, NHRC has called for a detailed report on the matter within two weeks. The Commission has observed that if the content of the news reports are true, then it raises serious issues of violation of human rights. It said the incident came to light after a Child Helpline official received videos depicting cruelty towards toddlers of professionals working at the campus who leave their children at the facility while on duty.
