Nepal’s Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal is set to visit China next week, following his three-day visit to India. Sources indicate that Khanal may depart for China on the 14th of this month. In China, he is expected to hold talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Liu Haixing, head of the International Department of the Chinese Communist Party. Khanal will also engage with the Nepali diaspora during his visit and is scheduled to return on the 17th of this month.
Discussions on various aspects of the bilateral relationship between the two nations are anticipated. Khanal had departed for India on the 5th of this month and returned to Kathmandu on Saturday. During his visit to India, he met with Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and leaders of the ruling BJP party.
