In Nepal, at a programme organised on the 106th Establishment Day of Lalitpur Metropolitan City today, Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli has emphasised that all three tiers of the government should be people-centric and service-oriented.

PM Oli further said as Lalitpur is a prosperous cultural city of the country, it could contribute to tourism development by protecting and promoting heritages as well as places having cultural importance. Local governments have now become citizen-friendly. Works are done to remove anomalies through the use of information technology. Common progress is gained through the efforts of all. The journey of progress never ends, he added.

The state has been carrying out maximum efforts to uplift the living standard of the people as well as foreign exchange reserves has increased. The Deputy Mayor of Lalitpur proposed declaring Lalitpur as the capital of Handicrafts.
